Today we reviewed the two major philosophies to come out of the Roman Republic/beginning of the Empire - Epicureanism & Stoicism. The notes (with v. informative videos!) are on the google site, so if you need to review any information, check it! Soon, we will move onto religions that are existing in the Roman Empire - first Judaism, and then the religion that comes out of it, Christianity.
Some of you, for some reason, did not complete the less than 2 page reading that was assigned to you. WHY CHILDREN, WHY! You must be looking at your calendar - you have a 40 page WHAP reading on the horizon and your inability to read two pages does not instill hope in us that you will do that, BUT IT IS NECESSARY for success!!!!
Tomorrow, your Words for Nerds is due! Then we will move into Roman Architecture - ready for more teenage photos of Mrs. Garafola? Of course you are!
If you may now need a humanities experience, check some of these ideas:
- Go see A Christmas Carol at the Dallas Theater Center.
- On November 4, (THIS FRIDAY!) Klyde Warren Park is putting on a simulcast of Moby Dick, the Opera. So grab some food at a food truck and watch my favorite novel in song.

- Go see Ann about Ann Richards, former governor of Texas!
