The one where people learn to farm

Humanitarians,

Today we talked a bit more about artifacts (you definitely need to know the Venus of Willendorf & the Cave paintings at Lascaux). Afterwards, we discussed the Neolithic Revolution (where humans settled down and learned to farm). Be thinking, WHY did people decide to farm, HOW did they, and what does this mean for them? Tomorrow, we will continue in this discussion by looking at what farming means for society.

  • 1980: Poland's Solidarity labor movement had its beginnings when an agreement ending a 17-day strike was signed in Gdansk. Sophomores, do you remember the importance of Solidarity and Lech Walesca? SO IMPORTANT

  • 1997: Princess Diana (mother of William and Harry) was killed in a car accident in Paris. I remember this so vividly and you weren't alive so that's weird.

We decided to buy Tiff's Treats today, so I'm too distracted by the possibility of cookies to find a social media account to follow. However, I heard this awesome NPR article about a comic starring Prime Hottie of Canada, Justin Trudeau, so check the article if you're bored.
